Bike to work!

N2's bike necklace has been incredibly popular. This could be for a couple reasons, one because you surely won't find a necklace like this anywhere else as the French seem to do everything first. But I think the real reason is our conscious effort in our changing society to conserve gas (i.e. save money), make the world a greener place (i.e. cut down on pollution) and to get healthier (i.e. making time for exercise). So biking to work, biking to meet with friends or simply just biking for the passion of it, has become such a growing part of who we are. So why wouldn't you want to wear a stylish piece that represents your passion!?

Woven Magic.

In Marrakesh there are many wonderful inspiring design houses. We happened to stop in at Bladi Design one day and found ourselves immediately wrapped up in every detail of their showroom. From the multiple traditional Moroccan colorful carpets that covered the floor, to the Moroccan tiling on the walls, there was no square inch left uncovered for the eye to discover.



We immediately fell in love with their linens. Soft and luxurious. Each had a unique pattern and of course, they were all 100% hand woven. Yes you can find similarly nice designs in stores these days that are relatively inexpensive, but they are typically machine-made and from another large country in this world we will not name. The energy and magic that goes into the traditional weaving process is incredible and that magic is certainly felt in the Bladi designs.



This particular towel is perfect for the beach or by the pool. They dry out extremely quickly and can easily be wrapped as a sarong. They have been used for centuries throughout Africa in the dry desert heat.

We are so thrilled to finally be offering these traditional, hand-woven carpets from Morocco on our site! Woven from scrap fabric, Moroccan women draw from their own inspiration to make these carpets to be like no other. Vividly alive with color and various patterns, each one is guaranteed to be unique and full of personality. Here are a few of our favorites.

Be a stylish tourist.

As all of our busy summer travel comes to an end, and we are focused now on fresh beginnings with a new school year and holiday season, we couldn't help pay a little tribute to our fellow tourists who may have missed some of the important fashion "no no's".

Although, if any of those persons who may not realize that wearing socks with sandals is a touring fashion mistake, one might have picked up on the clue if they happened to be shopping in Barcelona, Spain this summer. There we found a rather large billboard sign directly placed at the entrance of the lovely outdoor shopping complex. It reminded everyone, especially tourists however, to be stylish as they travel! We found this to be quite humorous and of course pretty close to the truth!
